We meet weekly from September through May and have calendared activities throughout the year.

Youth Ministries

St. Andrew’s vision is to create an environment where youth experience the love of God, deepen their faith in Christ, and identify their spirit-given gifts and calling to empower them to share the good news of God’s reign in word and deed at church and in their daily lives. Youth Ministries are geared toward youth in grades 6-12.

  • Sunday School: High school & middle school youth are invited to learn more about God’s love and word. We meet weekly from September through May from 9:45 to 10:45 am.

  • The Youtherans Ministry Gatherings: Meet on Sundays from 1-3 pm unless otherwise announced. Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to gather together for an afternoon of faith-based discussions, projects, and fun.

  • WOW! (Wired on Wednesday): A time for music, a time for worship, and a time for connecting with God and one another, WOW is a faith-filled opportunity for children, youth, and adults. Beginning with music classes, rehearsals, and FUNdamentals, groups come together for a 20-minute worship experience filled with praise, scripture, a message, and prayer. Worship is followed by our middle and high school youth activities, including confirmation class and small groups, and chancel choir rehearsal. All are welcome.

  • Unplugged Praise Band: Rehearsals Wednesdays from 5:30-6 pm in the sanctuary. Youth in grade 6 and older are welcome to participate.

  • Children's Music: Children in grades preschool - 6 are invited to participate. They will receive instruction from our seasoned director, Sam Solano.

  • Mardi Gras Event: An annual evening full of food and fellowship that supports our youth mission trip.

  • Youth Retreat: Everyone needs time to retreat and be still with God!

  • Confirmation Camp: Youth participating in confirmation leave for a camp in the summer.

  • Confirmation Sunday and Celebration Dinner: We honor those completing confirmation during worship service, followed by a reception and a sit-down dinner with families.

  • Late Night Events: An evening of fun and hijinks.

  • Prayer Buds: A positive, faith-based mentorship program for our youth. Participants are paired with an adult from St. Andrew who will pray for them daily, and the youth will reciprocate by praying for their adult partner.

  • Messy Church: An all-inclusive take on church that includes interactive activities, songs, prayers, and dinner! All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. Messy Church happens on the first Sunday of most months during the year from 4 - 6 pm.

  • Mission Trips: Youth spend a week serving on a mission in the summer. Locations and scope of projects vary each year.
