About Worship

Chancel Choir

Chancel Choir rehearses 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays in the sanctuary. This choir leads services about twice a month. No prior choral experience or musical literacy is required. We welcome new members.

Our first rehearsal this fall is Wednesday, September 8. All interested singers are welcome to join, regardless of previous choral experience or music training.

Our first choir Sundays for fall 2010 are September 19, October 3, October 24, and Reformation Sunday, October 31. Generally choir Sundays for 2010-2011 will be the first and third Sundays of each month.

Child care is available during rehearsals with prior notice.

We also enjoy a yearly choir retreat and a few outside concert performances each year. In 2010 the choir retreat will be Friday, October 8 through Sunday, October 10 at Galilean Retreat Center, Ocean Shores, Washington. Howard Meharg is this year's guest clinician.

Our annual concert performance in the Portland Grotto's Festival of Lights this year is Wednesday, December 29 at 7 pm.
