Preschool Staff

Ms. Ashley is St. Andrew Lutheran Church’s Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry. She has a BS from Colorado State University, and lived in Colorado most of her life before moving here in October 2018. She loves being outside and being active while doing things like hiking and playing ultimate Frisbee. She also has a design background and loves to create and work with hands on projects! She has been at St. Andrew since November 2018

Ms. Becky has a BA from Seattle University. Becky’s quiet and upbeat outlook will help make your child’s transition to preschool a very positive experience. She enjoys bringing yoga into the classroom. Becky was the Sunday School Superintendent at St. Andrew Lutheran. She has been teaching at St. Andrew since 2010. Her children attended St. Andrew Preschool.  

 

Ms. Beth has a BS from the University of Kentucky and MS from Colorado State University. As the preschool director at St. Andrew since 1997, her first concern is for your child’s safety. She values creating an environment where your child can explore and develop critical thinking skills and intrinsic self-worth to promote growth and development. Beth’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool.   

 

Ms. Bethany is a 2nd generation family - she was a preschooler here! Bethany has an AA from Clark College and is working towards a BA in Human Development at WSUV. Bethany is an avid reader and shares that love of literature with her students. She is dedicated to creating a safe, fun and child-centered environment. Bethany enjoys working in her garden, reading and doing some late night sewing.

 

Ms. Daisy has a BS in Applied Management from Grand Canyon Univ. She is a native Spanish speaker who has a passion for learning languages and cultures. She has taught languages in different countries and was an administrator in a language Academy in South Korea. She loves the way St. Andrew encourages critical thinking.  Her child attended St. Andrew Preschool. Ms. Daisy teaches Spanish in all the classes plus a "2 & You" class. 

Ms. Jaime has an AAS in Early Childhood Education from Clark College. She is passionate about young children’s learning and loves how St. Andrew has utilized the Reggio Emilia approach. She believes that it is important for children’s education to be student centered and for children to be critical thinkers as well as problem solvers. Ms. Jaime loves being active. She enjoys Yoga and spending time outdoors with her family. Both Jaime’s children have attended St. Andrew and love it.      

Ms. Jill is a licensed speech-language Pathologist and former elementary school teacher. She completed her MS in Speech-Language Pathology at UW, and her MA in Teaching at Pacific University. Her undergraduate degree in Spanish was completed at OSU. Ms. Jill is a Lunch Bunch teacher and substitute at St. Andrew. Ms. Jill enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors with her family, reading, and gardening. Her children attended St. Andrew. 

 

Ms. JillianMs. Jillian has a BA from Central Washington University. She is passionate about educating through movement. She believes in nurturing your child’s natural love of learning through play-based and hands-on activities. Jillian enjoys running, reading, and enjoying the outdoors with her children. Both of her children attended St. Andrew Preschool.

 

Ms. Kendra earned her BA in Elementary Education with a reading endorsement from the Univ. of Idaho and her Masters in Education from WSU. She most recently was the Children’s Ministries Director at her local church. Ms. Kendra and her family serve the community as a foster family. She believes the most valuable skill is developing a lifelong love for learning. Ms. Kendra loves books and spending time with her husband and children.  

 

Ms. Kim studied Early Childhood Education at Clark College. She has been a loving and encouraging teacher at St Andrew since 1987. Kim is one of our Lunch Bunch teachers. Outside of preschool, Kim does floral design for weddings and other special occasions. Her child and grandchildren attended St. Andrew Preschool.

 

Ms. Kimberly has a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Fine and Performing Arts from Northwestern State University. She has additional certification in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Her extensive background in emergency management is an asset to the school. She enjoys sharing her love of music with her “2 & You” class.  Ms. Kimberly’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool.

 

Ms. Kristi has a BA from Whitworth University. She holds a current teaching certificate for both elementary and special education. Kristi's youngest child attended St. Andrew. In her free time, Kristi enjoys drinking coffee, baking, and spending time with family and friends.                                                                                                                                      
Ms. Lisa is a certificated teacher with a BA in Education from WSUV. In addition to teaching preschool, she is a K-12 substitute teacher for Evergreen Public Schools on her day off. Lisa values the student-centered, hands-on learning and staff collaboration at St. Andrew Preschool. Lisa’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool.  

 

Ms. Lori studied music performance at Mt. Hood and Edmonds Community Colleges. In addition to teaching in the classroom, she teaches music and movement to all of our preschool students. Lori taught Kindermusik®, private voice and piano for 11 years. Her great communication skills, sense of humor and calm manner make her a perfect fit for teaching young preschoolers. She began teaching at St. Andrew in 2007. Lori’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool.  

Ms. Sara is a certificated teacher with a BA in Elementary Education with a Spanish minor from Concordia University and a Master of Education from WSU. She has been teaching since 1998 and started at St. Andrew in 2010. Sara is our parent educator. Sara’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool.   

 

Ms.Ms. Stacey Stacey earned a BA in Liberal Arts with a minor in Music from Humboldt State University and an MS in Reading from Nova Southeastern University. She holds a Washington State teaching credential. Ms.Stacey enjoys reading (especially aloud to kids) and crafting in her free time. She is a substitute at preschool and her children attended St. Andrew.
