Preschool Features
Learning Centers
Children will learn through interest centers designed for specific educational goals. Creative art, science, reading, blocks, and manipulative equipment offer the child many opportunities to develop creativity, language, social skills, and small muscle coordination. Our dramatic play allows children to let their imagination create a world all their own. The possibilities are endless!
Christian Atmosphere
Our staff brings the love of the Lord into the classroom by sharing Bible stories and songs with the children. Preschool worship is led by the pastoral staff in the sanctuary. Families are welcome to attend.
Excellent Staff
We have been blessed at St. Andrew with an outstanding and experienced staff. They are the most important part of a positive school experience for your child. We value their knowledge, positive attitude and love of young children.
Low Student Teacher Ratio
Class size is limited to 16 students with two co-teachers for each class of 4- to 5-year olds. Class size is limited to 14 students with two co-teachers for each class of 3- to 4-year-olds.
Nutritious Snacks
These include fruits, vegetables, cheese and a wide variety of crackers and other nutritious snack foods furnished by the preschool. We serve water with snacks.
Cooking Projects
Children learn to cook and make their own snacks once a month. They enjoy the results!
Music
In addition to daily music in the classrooms and outdoors, the preschoolers gather weekly in the music room with our music teacher. The kids are invited to share their songs with family members and the St. Andrew congregation during several family-friendly Sunday worship services throughout the school year, followed by a time of fellowship for all the families.
Certified Nature Explore Classroom
Our nationally certified 9000 square foot outdoor space is one of the nicest in the county.

We feel it is important for children to play, explore, and learn outside; therefore our students spend a significant amount of time outdoors in many types of weather.
Parent Conferences
In September, we will schedule “Getting to Know You” conferences so that you can tell us about your child and your family. In May we will give you an opportunity to discuss the development of your child with his/her teachers. No school will be held the days of the May conferences (refer to your calendar for dates).
Special Guests
We invite community professionals such as dentists, doctors and firefighters to visit our classrooms. If preschool parents have a career or interest to share with us please let us know. We welcome your participation in our program, and your children are proud to have you in class.
Two & You
Two & You is a facilitated discovery time for toddlers with a parent or care giver. Toddlers learn through play in a developmentally appropriate environment using a variety of sensory materials. This class offers opportunities for social interaction and parent networking while introducing the skills for a successful transition to independent preschool classes. Two and You classes have one teacher and 8 students.
