Associate Pastor Martha Maier

Greetings in Christ’s name!

I’m Pastor Martha Maier and I have served as associate pastor at St. Andrew Lutheran Church since May, 2005. My areas of focus are faith formation and nurture along with spirituality. I love working with people of all ages and am particularly interested in helping families nurture the faith lives of their children.

Before coming to St. Andrew, I worked at Grace Lutheran Church in Corvallis for 12 years. I’m a 1999 graduate of Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. In 2004, I received a certificate in spiritual direction from Shalom Prayer Center in Mt. Angel. I have a long-standing interest in the catechumenate, which is a process of faith formation for adults who desire to begin or renew a relationship with Christ and the Church.

I’m married and have a daughter attending Pacific Lutheran High School and a son in high school. My son has a disability, so I've gained a lot of knowledge about special education and IEPs, and am active in the Vancouver Special Education Parent Teacher Association.
